Chobits (ちょびっツ,Chobitsu) is an anime series from Clamp about an 18-year-old boy named Hideki Motosuwa who goes to Tokyo for cram school, but ends up finding a broken persocom (personal computer) instead (something he normally couldn't afford). Hideki then names her Chii, after the only thing she can say, but later on, he starts to figure out that Chii may be one of the most powerful persocoms there is.

A high-strung country boy who is in Tokyo studying to enter college. His persocom is Chi.
Chi
A persocom who seems to be missing some information and could be one of the rumored Chobits.
Shinbo
Hideki's neighbor and school-mate. He has a persocom named Sumomo.

Shinbo's mobile persocom.

Plot

Episode 1

Hideki is rejected from college and leaves his home to go study in Tokyo for college. When he arrives, he sees a persocom for the first time, but he can't afford one. Embarassing himself in front the building manager, he settles into his new apartment. He meets his neighbor, Shinbo, who owns a miniature persocom named Sumomo. Walking home, Hideki finds a persocom in the trash. While taking it home, he loses the programming disc. After turning it on, the only thing it can do is say "chi". His attempt to keep Chi a secret fails miserably.

Episode 2
