Alex Louis Armstrong

Major Alex Louis Armstrong, also known as the Strong-Arm Alchemist, is a large and ridiculously muscular man who has a habit of ripping his shirt off in battle. Despite this tough-guy appearance, he is actually a very emotional man. He can often be found crying or sniffling over matters that most others would not. He also consistently claims that several various and sometimes silly skills have "been passed down the Armstrong family for generations!" Major Armstrong is a friend to Edward and Alphonse Elric. He is first introduced into the story as a guard for Ed and Al, which proves helpful, as they encounter Scar soon afterward. Major Armstrong then accompanies Ed and Al back to their hometown of Risembool so Ed's automail and Al's armor can be fixed.
