Saga is the girl who found Sugar on a rainy day and fed her a waffle. Since then, they have lived together until Sugar became a full fledged fairy. She can see season fairies though most people can't. Not only does she meet Sugar, she also meets Salt, Pepper, Basil, and Cinnamon who are apprentices, too. She also meets three full fledged fairies, Elder (the head of the fairies), Ginger, and Tumeric. After Sugar leaves, she was no longer able to see season fairies, but knows that they are there.
