Name

The name, Crystal Jewels is used when they are Crystal Monsters in a series. Instead of using "Crystal Monsters", they used Crystal Jewels.

Concept

The Crystal Jewels series began around 1986 or 1987, when the Demogame was first produced<ref>Did The Crystal Jewels series began around 1986 or 1987, when the Demogame was first produced?</ref>. The series flashes back when their creator, Maruko Jinko is obsessed with diamonds and crystals, and imagined if the diamond is crystal in his high school age. Once he grew up, that's why he created this series franchise, Crystal Jewels.

Crystal Jewels is a franchise in which Crystal Monsters (which are creatures) are battled against each other, in the wild, and are trained by people called "Crystal Brawlers". In most media, Crystal Monsters faints rather than dying, they could be healed in the hospital called "Crystalspital". There are currently more than 959 of the Crystal Monsters. Some Crystal Monsters could evolve in 1-3 stages at their certain levels.

Once the Crystal Brawlers collects 8-10 brawler tokens, by battling, they compete in the league, and when they beat the champion, they became a master champion. The most goalmaker of that was Kouchu Misako of the anime.

Game mechanics

Starters

The three Crystal monsters are called starters. They can be fire, dragon, water, rainbow, or grass type. Once the player picks the Crystal monster,  the rival pick  the Crystal monster that has a type-advantage against yours. In Crystal Jewels 2, Roaracryst was received to the player after the rival swopped Marika away from the player. In Crystal Jewels Puzzle Brawl, the player can receive three Crystal Monsters named Flamene, Thunderene, and Waterene. In the franchise's game console, called CrystalZeni, the player could choose his or her aide character, there are 3 characters.

There are starters on every Crystal Jewels video game that will start the player's journey.

CrystalPod

The CrystalPod is used in video games, anime, manga, and books. When a Crystal monster gets caught, its data gets in the Crystalpod. The player attempts to fill the CrystalPod, and when it is recieved or caught, the monsters' name, and image goes on its entry in the Crystal Pod.

In the game, Crystal Jewels Advanced, the search engine is added so it let's you search any Crystal monster. In Crystal Jewels Garnet and Turquoise, it let's you type in the Crystal Monsters name to search it. The Crystalpod has a bizzare of apps, games, and templates. It is still popular today.

Controversy and critisimship

Some episodes have been banned due to some adult content. Cut sxenes includes deadly scenes, strong language, mature violence, etc. Kiss scenes have been also cutted until the charactets could be shown kissing. Authors and/or artists have created erotic Crystal Jewels Doujinshi, and fanon ones. Fans of the Crystal Jewels series have created thousands+ of fanarts, and fan animes/cartoons parody.

Making items of Crystal Jewels influence fans to like Crystal Jewels more. When the episode, Sounds Like It’s Rare Stage!, aired, Kouchu have won against Jason, despite that he didn’t win via/ lose in the previous Crystal Jewels league, except for the Jarbon Islands. The critical reception was we don’t know if Crystal Jewels Moon Blade is going to air in Japan or not. The poster said it would be released on February 19, 2018, along with the movie, Crystal Jewels 25th is gonna release around 2018.

Sevearl western cartopn and kids cartoon have made debut on some Crystal Monsters making their debut.<ref>Which cartoons have reference to Crystal Jewels?</ref>

Animal harmings

In 2012, PETA publicly criticized as supporting cruelty to animals. PETA compared the game's concept, of capturing animals and forcing them to fight, to cockfights, dog fighting rings and circuses, all events frequently criticized for cruelty to animals.

Critical reception

The board game, Crystal Jewels Zockix <ref>Crystal Jewels Zockix- CBS news</ref>is for older fans like teens and up to enjoy Crystal Jewels again, but in a rwist. If the Crystal monster dies it rather die than faint. If the player white out, they have to start over, unlike other games. Thats why this game is banned from schools and some homes since 2003. More than 60 thousand of kids play this game instead of eating their lunchea, and then in recess.

Jinko stated "I rather make Crystal Monsters faint rather than die. Theres no gore or anything non appropriate". But when the mobile app releases, the app was the biggest yet. Since 2011, more than 600 million people's electronics got frozed and rebotted due to the app's pressure, so the app was banned and removed from every appstore.
