Dragonballz is one of the most popular anime series ever produced. It's the sequel of dragonball and is itself followed by dragonballgt. Dragonballz is a popular anime and manga created and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. Dragonballz was originally telecasted in Japan but later in countries India, America, New Zealand, Spain etc. Dragonballz consists of genres like action, adventure, martial arts, drama, comedy and thrill. It has a total of 291 episodes.

PLOT
A space ship, carrying a monkey-tailed little boy lands on the planet, Earth. The space ship is found by a martal artistist, Gohan. He adopts the little boy as his grandson and names him---Goku. One day, the little boy meets an adventure thirsty teenage girl named Bulma whose the heiress of Dr. Brief, the owner of Capsule Corporation. They both go on a quest to find the Shenron dragonballs which could grant any of their wishes. And on their way, they come across several great martial artists and fighters and all the others, which provides them a golden chance to enhance their own abilities. They undergo several instances where they befriend some of those great martial artists or create envy towards them.
Goku, the protagonist of the series later meets his older brother, Raditz, when he abducts his older son, Gohan. Raditz reveals Goku's true identity as Kakarrot and tells him that he was actually sent to Planet Earth to destroy it and ultimately overpower the planet which was the highest goal of his life but all in vain 'cause his space ship struck a huge rock and he lost his memory. He tells him that he belongs to an extra-terrestrial race, Saiyans or Saiyajins from Planet Vegeta. Goku is enforced by Raditz to join forces with him and fulfill his true aspirations but Goku refuses and decides to stay with his friends and family and protect the planet, Earth. Now, he has to encounter with several people as Prince Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu. He trains his sons, Gohan and Goten as his successors and ultimately the reincarnated form of Buu---Uub.

GOKU
The protagonist of the popular series is named as Goku. He is an extra-terrestrial being with some supernatural powers from Planet Vegeta. Goku was introduced as a young boy in dragonball and was sent to planet earth to destroy it but his spaceship struck a huge rock due to which he lost his memory. He was found by an old man named Gohan who was his adoptive grandfather and was actually his first martial arts teacher.
Later, in the series-Dragonball, Goku married his childhood friend, Chichi. He had once promised her to do so, thinking that wedding is a yummy eatable. Chichi, as a young lady, enforced him to marry her and entered the world martial arts tournament to remember him of his promise. Goku was likely to be attracted with her obstinate behaviour and thus, decided to marry her. He was introduced in dragonballz as the father of Gohan and then, during the Great Saiyaman Saga, Goten was introduced as his younger son.
Goku is basically shown fighting against the evil with his older and some new friends who prove themselves to be extremely helpful. Goku is liked by almost all the z warriors as. He never upsets them and always withstands on their hopes and promises. Goku fuses with Vegeta during the Kid Buu saga to defeat the villian so that the earth is potected against him.
Goku is very frequently presented in a comic role and can provide a sigh of relief in various difficult situations. He is adored by many pupil as he is extremely reliable and faithful too. He can easily jump into all kinds of dangers to help the others and can never betray anyone though, Goku, himself has been cheated by many of his rivals due to his forgiving and forgetful behaviour.
Son Goku is presented as the world's strongest warrior in all the dragonball series.

GOHAN
Gohan is the first son of Son Goku and Chichi. Gohan was named after Goku's adoptive granfather. He is equally strong as his father but was always encouraged by his mother to study and become one of the premiere scholars which is why he couldn't become very powerful
He was introduced in the Vegeta saga by his father to some of his older friends. At that time, Gohan was presented to the spectators as a young boy who was totally unbeknown of his powers. He was trained by PICCOLO who was actually the first person to realize how powerful the little boy was. Gohan as a teenager and a young adult always tried to help his father fight against the evil.
His main contribution was provided to the earthlings during the cell games when there wasn't anyone else as strong as Gohan who could face the powerful monster---Cell and from then Gohan was considered as the strongest being on the planet. Later on, during the kid buu saga Goku was again proclaimed to be the one who could protect the earth from the various dangers. Gohan couldn't fight against most of the warriors due to lack of training.
Gohan came to be known as the GREAT SAIYAMAN as a superhero whose wardrobe was created by Bulma though the name was given by Gohan himself. Gohan dressed him up as the superhero 'cause he desired to claim himself similar to his companions in the Orange Star High school.
Gohan later married Videl and even had a daughter named Pan. Videl was one of his classmates at the Orange Star Highschool.

GOTEN
Goten is the second son of Goku and Chichi. He was introduced during the Great Saiyaman Saga, in the 200th episode of Dragonballz. He was premiered as a seven year old young boy who greatly resembled his father, Goku. Goten had never seen Goku as he died before his birth while fighting the monster from future---Cell.
He was never forced by his mother, Chichi to study but was encouraged to do well as a martial artist. In episode 205, Goten was introduced as the youngest supersaiyan. He revealed that he had transformed into the being in his sixth year but was not permitted by his mother to do so and was actually called a "monster" due to which he didn't dare to do so again especially infront of her. Goten is one of the greatest saiyans ever and and can quikly develop strong power levels. He has a great grasping power which helps learn things immediately.
He is mostly shown with his best friend Trunks who is approximately one year older than him. Goten like his, father and brother is very fond of nature and animals. The young boy is totally pure of heart and is actually the most adorable kid ever. He has proven himself to be a true friend of all and can jump in all sorts of dangers to help them.
In order to save the Planet Earth from Majin Buu, Goten fuses with trunks in the Fusion Saga and forms the mighty being---Gotenks. Goten and Trunks were taught the art of fusion by PICCOLO and Goku.

TRUNKS
Trunks is the older son of Vegeta and Bulma. He was first introduced during the Trunks Saga when he was shown as a myserious, supersaiyan and was actually disliked by almost all the z warriors for they were extremely curious to know about the sturdy youth but weren't getting any clue of how could he defeat Frieza so easily when those warriors couldn't even equal thmselves to thre alien. Trunks wanted to meet Goku and so he did. He introduced himself to our hero and told him about the androids who were created by Doctor Gero and also provided Goku a medicine to fight against his heart virus which was actualy the reason for his death. Future Trunks was very much different as compared to Trunks of the present timeline as he was much more innocent and humble, polite , manipulative and a very calculative person too while the original Trunks wasn't as humble or polite and actually seemed to be a little rude and harsh too. Trunks is the only warrior to have purple hair but they suit him a little. Trunks is usually shown accompanied by his best friend Son Goten, who easily believes everything he says (maybe cause he has a lot of faith in him). Trunks later fuses with Goten during the fusion saga and has his power increased to a tremendous level for they actually turn to supersaiyan three.--golden girl 04:21, 9 May 2009 (EDT)
