Name Meaning: Uzumaki=Spiral Naruto=Steamed fish-paste cake or maelstrom (Whirpool of extraordinary size & violence)
Uzumaki Naruto is a 12 year-old boy who has a Kyuubi (Nine Tailed-Demon Fox) sealed with in him. He stayed in the academy for three years and Iruka Umino had him graduated by performing the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow clone jutsu). Naruto learned the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu from the forbbiden scroll which he was tricked into stealing. He is an orphan, who lives in a little house and always eat ramen (cups of noodles). Naruto always seems to cause trouble so that he could get attention. He is loneley, but he never cries about that anymore.
Naruto is clueless at times still not knowing that Hinata Hyuuga loves him. Although, he confessed his feelings for Sakura, Sakura doesn't really care since she's in love with Sasuke. Naruto and Sasuke has a bit of a rivalry on each other just like Sakura and Ino.
Naruto's team went to the Land of Waves to protect Tazuna (the bridge builder) from Gato and his assasins. On their way their, they met up with 2 chuunins, Zabuza and Haku (tracker ninja also known as a hunter nin). Sasuke fought with the 2 chuunins while Sakura gaurded Tazuna and Naruto just stood their looking scared. Kakashi was hiding in a tree watching how well they would do. Then one of the chuunin ninjas was about to attack Naruto, but Kakashi stopped him before they got Naruto. Sasuke complimented Naruto. He said,"Hey, Naruto! You're not hurt are you? Scaredy cat!" At that moment, Naruto was about to get Sasuke for what he said but Kakashi told him to keep still because the chuunin scratched his hand which had poisin in it.
