General Information
Black Lagoon was produced by Madhouse and licensed in the US by Geneon. The first season had 13 episodes and was aired in 2006. The second season is still airing in Japan.

Characters
- Rock - A polite, well-dressed, former business man trying to survive the chaotic life of a pirate.
- Revy - Known also as "Two-Hands", Revy is the gunner for the ship. Occasionally she has bouts of maniacal rampaging with her twin hand guns. For the most part she is apathetic to anything that doesn't cause her extra grief.
- Dutch - The captain of the boat and general leader of the group, Dutch is the American soldier who likes to have all of his bases covered. His methodology is almost the exact opposite of Revy's.
- Benny - The techie of the ship and a former hacker.

Plot
Rock, a no-name office worker from Japan is taken hostage on the East Asian seas. Rock's company abandons him to fate, but offers him an executive position when they find him alive. Rock turns the offer down to live a more exciting life pirating the seas.
