Deidara is a character in Masashi Kishimoto's popular anime and manga series, Naruto. Deidara was first introduced to the series in chapter 247 of the manga, and episode 2 of Naruto Shippuden. Deidara was formerly a member of the criminal organization Akatsuki, though he originates from the Village Hidden in the Rocks, Iwagakure.

Attack on Sunagakure
First appearing after the three year time skip, Shippuden in the anime, Deidara and his Akatsuki partner Sasori were sent to secure and capture the Ichibi, Shukaku.
