Ichinose abandoned the soul society after Kenpachi Zaraki fought and killed his beloved Captain of the 11th squad. Ichinose felt he could not follow a monster like Kenpachi and went off into the desert and left the Gotei 13. He then meets Kariya, a bounto, and becomes his servant and protector. Ichinose is a very stealthy and skilled Shinigami. His Zanpaktou is light based and he can manipulate light rays with it.
