Summary
Chobits is about an 18-year-old boy named Hideki Motosuwa who goes to Tokyo for cram school. In tokyo, they have Persocoms,(personal computers), they can check your email or let you surf the web. But, scince HIdeki can't afford anything modern or fancy like that, no persocom for him.
When Hideki is on the way home, he finds a persocom laying in the trash and takes it home, but it's not exactly how Hideki thought it would turn out. The persocom can't surf the web or say anything but "Chii". No wonder she was in the trash. Hideki then names her Chii, but later on, he starts to figure out the Chii may be one of the most powerful persocoms there is.
