Concerning 'Avatar'
Yes I know Avatar looks like anime, but should that really classify it as anime? I'm not trying to complain, but most people, like myself, would not classify Avatar, Totally Spies, etc. as anime just because they look like anime. People are able to draw and learn from all over the world. I'm probably talking nothing but nonsense. You can ask other people what they think I suppose. -Crystalbear 19:24, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
That's the whole thing. Looking like an anime. Anime is an all-encompassing term for animation in Japan. In the west, we primarily use it to describe cartoons which are based off of "manga", a comic book using a drawing style referred to as "manga". Anime is simply, by it's most common usage in western language, animation of the manga art style. If it succeeds in fitting to the "manga" style traits, it is anime. Anime does not refer to something that is strictly from Japan, hence why the term "Japanimation" went out of common use in the 70s and 80s. That would be like saying that a modern painting in the Baroque style is not a Baroque painting because it isn't from 17th century France. Avatar succeeds in following the anime traits, more so than other American attempts have, such as Teen Titans or Totally Spies. - Xero XIII 23:28, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

Disambiguation pages
I was thinking, if Animepedia should have disambiguation pages. This would be helpful in finding certain articles faster. Such as if an anime had a title, that was also the exact name of a character. Examples of articles that may need disambiguation pages, would be the Tenchi Muyo! articles. I would like to see each Tenchi Muyo manga and anime to try to have their own seperate articles, that is if there is enough information for an article. It's quite possible to make disambiguation pages without the... say... "Tenchi Muyo! (Disambiguation)" title. It could actually just be a normal article that links to other articles, but made to look like a disambiguation page. Believe me, I saw this done on other very popular wikipedias.
