Scar

Scar, a homicidal Ishballan, has a grisly past. His real name is never mentioned, but he has an x-shaped scar on his forehead, given to him by Zolf Kimbley, the man who is responsible for the genocide of Scar's nation, Ishbal. Because of this, and the fact that Kimbley, a former State Alchemist, killed his brother, Scar wants to kill all State Alchemists. Revenge is the only goal in his bleak existence. Throughout the series, he makes various appearances, trying to kill State Alchemists, including Ed. Scar has his brother's right arm, which is heavily tattooed with transmutation circles, what Ishballans call The Grand Arcanem. In Ishballan religion, if any practicers perform The Grand Arcanem, they will be exiled from Ishbala, their God, forever. At the end of the series, Scar kills Kimbley, then dies.
