Appleseed (アップルシード, Appurushīdo)is an anime film by Shinji Aramaki based on the characters of the Appleseed manga published in 1985. There are some similarities in the charcters, otherwise it is not connected to the manga, and is not to be confused with the 1988 OVA of the same name.
